The campaign manager must have great organizational skills and be a key partner to the candidate. The campaign manager leads the rest of the team and proactively oversees all aspects of the campaign to include:
· Fundraising to include targeting sources of funds and working with the candidate to successfully solicit support
· Leading all aspects of the research, drafting and implementation of a district wide campaign plan
· Hiring outstanding campaign staff as funds allow and campaign grows
· Leading a broad, effective grassroots campaign including coalition building, voter identification and contact
· Managing an aggressive free social media campaign
· Coordinating with district and statewide campaign committees and officials
· Managing all aspects of fiduciary oversight, legal administration and adherence to campaign finance reporting requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
· Strong leadership skills, commitment and dedication
· The enthusiasm and vision to help a progressive candidate win in a suburban and rural, conservative leaning district
· The ability to bring out the best in people
· Experience working with diverse communities
· At least five years of political organizing/campaign management experience, including experience leading a Democratic congressional campaign at the field or higher level
· A proven track record in coalition building, grass roots or field campaign organizing, financial oversight, and public speaking.
· Experience in maximizing the use of social media
· Demonstrated fundraising experience and knowledge of campaign funding sources
· A sense of humor and be fun to work with.
