The Nick Josefowitz for Supervisor campaign is seeking a talented and experienced Field Organizer to lead a robust canvass operation. Like many young parents, Nick is concerned about crime, homelessness and the cost of raising a family in San Francisco. He is running for Supervisor because for over a decade City Hall has not only failed to address these challenges but isn't even doing the basics right. We can do better.
The Deputy Campaign Manager will report to the Campaign Manager, and will shape and implement the field operations and volunteer management of an innovative and fast-moving electoral campaign for local office.
Requirements
Cares deeply about the future of San Francisco
Experience managing and implementing a door-to-door fundraising program, or at least two election cycles of experience as a Field Director.
Significant experience recruiting, hiring, training, and managing field staff and volunteers.
Experience writing field and GOTV plans.
Strong working knowledge of and experience with the voter file and related databases.
The ability to work independently. The Field Director must be a self-starter who can build and run this program with oversight but substantial independence.
Deadline-driven, results-oriented, and willing to work long and irregular hours.
Must live in or be in close commuting distance to San Francisco.
Responsibilities
Recruit, hire, train, and manage field staff.
Recruit, train, and manage a team of campaign volunteers.
Motivate staff and volunteers to hit goals.
Execute a data-driven field program.
Plan and execute ID, persuasion, and GOTV programs.
Research and implement cutting-edge campaign tactics and tools for peer-to-peer outreach, voter persuasion, volunteer management, and social media recruitment.
Deputy Campaign Manager will coordinate with Campaign Manager and Candidate about all aspects of the campaign, including fundraising, event planning, voter stewardship etc.
