[jobsthatareLEFT by GAIN] Campaign Manager - One Fair Wage - Michigan

DESCRIPTION

Our Campaign: One Fair Wage is a Michigan statewide ballot campaign endeavoring to raise the minimum wage to $12/hour by 2022 for non-tipped workers, and to the same rate by 2026 for tipped workers, as a pathway to a livable wage. Wages would then rise based on yearly inflation. Currently, Michigan's minimum wage for tipped workers is $3.38/hour. A majority of this wage goes to paying taxes, leaving tipped workers, a majority female workforce, to survive on tips alone. We are operating a statewide ballot campaign to give voters the opportunity to weigh in on this issue and to make progress for Michigan workers. The campaign is currently in the signature-gathering phase and is looking to hire a campaign manager.
