Job Description:

Donor Development Strategies seeks a compelling staff manager to lead our Twin Cities Public Television Field Office. Our new Director will work with the Project Manager for that region to implement a strategic field plan with specific fundraising goals in mind, build a talented team of fundraisers, and manage all aspects of the office.

The Director will be responsible for maintaining positive client relations and building on our existing relationship at Twin Cities Public Television, managing and motivating their staff to exceed fundraising goals and bring new ideas to the table, developing and implementing recruitment strategies and in-depth staff trainings, creating new community initiatives to supplement our existing presence, as well as setting and monitoring fundraising goals and office projections. The Director will conduct analysis of daily and weekly operations and draft routine reports and lead their office on all fronts, from broad projects to any and all administrative duties. In depth and immersive training will be provided.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of success as a leader and staff manager. A typical office consists of 10 to 20 staff. This individual should be familiar with fundraising practices, have impeccable time management skills, and be comfortable juggling and prioritizing multiple tasks at a time. Further, this candidate should have a passion for communication and encouragement and relish the opportunity to join an innovative, growing, and constantly evolving organization. This position is ideal for someone early in their management career, with a basic foundation in managing projects and/or teams and looking to build on their experience.

Qualifications:

- Familiarity with door-to-door and/or community fundraising and outreach

- 1 to 3 years management (including supervisory) experience

- Excellent communication skills

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Genuine enthusiasm for the PBS mission

- Comfortable with some irregular hours and occasional weekends

- Must have reliable transportation

Compensation:

$32,500 - $37,500 commensurate with experience + weekly fundraising bonuses
