Position Summary: | Under the direct supervision of the digital manager, the front-end web developer will work to support AFT's digital mobilization campaigns by helping us build and optimize our online properties to create a modern, sleek web presence. | ||||
|

| ||
Position Responsibilities: | · Develop custom email and action page templates for AFT online campaigns. · Integrate existing AFT tools into broader online advocacy campaigns with creative and appealing online content. · Design and create micro-sites for campaigns · Use Google Analytics and other tools to analyze and optimize web traffic · Provide training and assistance on digital platforms and other communications tools and best practices as needed. · Some travel requited. | ||||

Primary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: |
· JavaScript or jQuery experience. Ability to implement and write small scripts is a must, ability to write plugins is a plus. · An interest in or experience with responsive design, jQuery mobile, or other approaches to designing for mobile users. · Experience with Drupal development · Google Analytics and site optimization · Experience with git, subversion, or other source control tools. · An eye for typography, whitespace, and other details that occur at the intersection of design and code.
· Experience with online CRM/CMS tech such as Salsa, BSD, Action Network, etc., especially in template design · Experience with and understanding of social media metadata. | ||||

Secondary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: | · Familiarity with AFT and/or its affiliates is considered a plus. · Video editing and production · Experience with online organizing · Experience working in a union environment | ||||
