[jobsthatareLEFT] Job: Trails and OAK Program Manager, Our Wild America - Sierra Club - Washington, DC

Sierra Club is hiring a leader to plan, manage, and implement two critical projects: Trails Connecting People with Nature (Trails) and the Outdoors Alliance for Kids (OAK). Trails will engage new and diverse leaders in trails creation and maintenance projects that enhance opportunities for communities with limited access to connect with nature. Our Trails manger will be asked to design and implement a mini-grant program to help us reach our goals. OAK is a national, DC-based alliance of over 75 non-profits and businesses, working to connect children, youth and families with the outdoors. This individual would lead coalition activities, which includes managing OAK conference calls, meetings, major events and communications, membership outreach, and supporting the development of state and local collaborative efforts.

To thrive in this role, candidates should be very comfortable with the fields of environmental or outdoor education, conservation and stewardship, public health, urban greening, and/or youth development. In addition to an ability to manage multiple goals and priorities, experience in organizing a network or coalition around specific campaign goals will be critical.
