Position Summary
Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE) seeks a Coordinator to support the Elected Leadership team.  Reporting to the Vice President, Elected Leadership, the Coordinator, Elected Leadership will manage the logistical, operational and communication details for the entire team and directly support the team's senior leadership.  This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who possess strong organizational and logistical experience.  Additionally, this role provides many opportunities to hone professional skills, build knowledge, and gain unique perspectives by working alongside ambitious colleagues and dynamic senior leaders. 

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, and an ability to create systems and document best practices to ensure we are constantly learning, improving, and developing ways to work more efficiently.  The Coordinator needs to exercise strong judgment in responding to questions, trouble-shooting problems, and flagging issues for other team members as needed.  Finally, the Coordinator will need to successfully build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including other staff at LEE, our members, Teach For America staff, and other partner organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Enhance team organizational systems 
  • Assist with projects led by team leaders
  • Manage calendars for senior leadership, book travel arrangements, and process expense reports and invoices 
  • Provide logistical support for Elected Leadership team meetings 
  • Maintain and improve data management system for tracking members 
  • Track deadlines and update organization systems to ensure team productivity and effectiveness
  • Prepare internal team communications such as newsletters, updates, team calendars and memos
  • Generate data spreadsheets, reports and internal team communications
  • Conduct research to drive new team projects and initiatives
  • Build critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Develop strong relationship building and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
