[jobsthatareLEFT] Communications & Community Engagement Coordinator - Fuse Washington (Seattle, WA)

Are you passionate about racial equity and ready to work with front line organizations fighting for it?
Do you love writing and storytelling?
Do you feel butterflies in your stomach when you hear or read powerful speeches?

Join us at the Communications Hub!

WHAT IS THE COMMUNICATIONS HUB?
The Communications Hub is a statewide program housed at Fuse Washington, the largest progressive organization in Washington State. We are a communications "toolshed" for the progressive movement – providing partners and organizations strategic messaging support, storytelling training and coaching, and direct staffing capacity to strengthen advocacy campaigns. If there's a campaign or organization that needs communications support, we are ready to provide it.

The premier tool of the Communications Hub is the Heroes' Narrative, a communications toolkit that provides our movement specific messaging with a storytelling structure to tell a long-term progressive narrative. We believe if we want to change minds and build power for our priorities, we first need to connect with our audiences' hearts and ground our short-term campaign communications in a long-term narrative and actively engage communities of color, youth, and women in all of our work.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Communications Hub is looking for a multitalented individual to help coordinate the program and support partner organizations with additional communications support. We're looking for someone who can juggle many different issues, partners, and projects – while keeping a careful eye on the long-term vision and work plan. This person will work in a team environment with nonprofit coalitions, progressive campaigns, and staff from Fuse to execute coordinated communications campaigns for top priority issues and to institutionalize a set of shared communications resources, including the Heroes' Narrative. This particular position will support organizations and campaigns led by and engaging communities of color, immigrants, and refugee communities.
