Mission Rock Initiative is an exciting ballot-initiative campaign to bring affordable housing, parks, jobs, and many other extraordinary benefits to San Francisco's Mission Bay neighborhood. Continuing our community engagement, the Field Team will inspire San Francisco voters to support our campaign during the November 2015 election cycle.
The Field Organizer will report to the Field Director and is responsible for executing a robust voter contact operation. Job responsibilities may include (but not limited to):
Hire and motivate staff to execute voter contact activities.
Identify, recruit, and mobilize community supporters as volunteers
Plan and run campaign events
Cultivate a welcoming and motivating campaign atmosphere
Keep accurate reports of all campaign outreach activities
Executing any additional duties assigned to them by the Field Director or Campaign Manager.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and motivational skills, work ethic are essential; a competitive edge is an advantage. Candidates must be able to work within a team and have proven leadership ability and experience handling multiple projects. Strong self-direction and the ability to take initiative are also necessary qualifications. Previous organizing experience is required; San Francisco organizing is a plus. Familiarity and comfort with campaign hours which range from 60-80 hour work weeks and include weekends.
Compensation commensurate with relevant campaign experience. The position lasts through November 13, 2015 and is located in San Francisco, CA.
