Position Summary
The Communications team seeks a Manager of Email Communications to develop and manage LEE national, regional, and team-based email campaigns and strategies. The Manager will develop email strategies to engage members and will provide structure and guidance to national and regional teams. This person will send emails on behalf of LEE teams, ensuring emails are consistent with LEE's brand and will also manage email lists and maintain data integrity. The Manager will also be responsible for email optimization and automation as well as using data analysis to evaluate campaigns and strategies.
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) temporary position with the possibility of an extension.
Position Location: Flexible; Chicago strongly preferred
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Competencies
- 3-4 years of experience with email strategy and execution required
- Experience creating and sending large-scale email campaigns
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders to develop multi-part email strategies and campaigns
- Proven ability to write, copy-edit and proofread in a rapid response environment
- Expert knowledge of email marketing platforms, event platforms and databases (such as Pardot, Salesforce and Eventbrite)
- Basic database management knowledge required (segmentation, reporting and maintenance)
- Very strong knowledge of HTML / CSS required
- Experience with optimization and A/B testing
- Ability to balance extreme attention-to-detail with swift execution
- Basic graphic design skills preferred
- Excellent organization skills and exceptional attention-to-detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to set and consistently meet deadlines and commitments
- Can-do, positive attitude with team-minded mentality
- Brings high level of integrity, quality and an entrepreneurial spirit to the work
- Comfort using virtual means of communication to collaborate in a geographically dispersed organization
Benefits and Salary
Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. Limited benefits will be available after three months of employment.
