The Environmental Voter Project is a new non-profit organization that will use state-of-the-art social network incentives, big-data analytics, predictive modeling, and voter mobilization tools to (1) find inactive environmentalists and (2) turn them into consistent voters. Using a new generation of Get-Out-The-Vote techniques, we will be able to dramatically increase voter turnout and precisely measure our impact.
This fall, EVP will be running targeted field campaigns in the Boston Metro area and is looking for a highly motivated Field Operations Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of the month-long campaign. This individual will hire, train, and manage a team of canvassers and phone bankers to increase voter turnout and build the blueprint for future EVP campaigns.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee the execution of month-long Get-Out-The-Vote program
· Hire, train, and manage team of 15 canvassers and 10 phone bankers
· Develop training materials and host onboarding trainings for new hires
· Ensure canvassers and phone bankers are using specific campaign messaging and language in their communications with voters
· Ensure all staff data is being entered correctly
· Oversee GOTV efforts using Facebook and Twitter
· Meet daily and weekly goals for doors knocked, phone calls, and contacts made
· Help create campaign materials, including scripts
· Manage voter database and canvass and phone banking technology
· Expect a long work schedule, including nights and weekends
Requirements:
· 2-5 years of experience in campaigns or grassroots organizing
· Proven ability to manage large teams of volunteers or paid staff
· Excellent written and verbal communications; strong motivational skills
· Experience managing or participating in GOTV operations
· Strong VAN and computer skills, including Excel, Google Docs, and Powerpoint
· Commitment to progressive environmental policy and expanding voter participation
Training: The Field Operations Coordinator will receive training and support from EVP and the Campaign Coordinators.
Duration: Late September to Early November
Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience
