Organization Background: The Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies (FPWA) is an anti-poverty, policy and advocacy nonprofit with a membership network of nearly 200 human service and faith-based organizations. FPWA has been a prominent force in New York City's social services system for more than 92 years, advocating for just public policies, collaborating with partner agencies, and growing our community-based membership network to meet the needs of New Yorkers. Each year, through our network of member agencies, FPWA reaches close to 1.5 million New Yorkers of all ages, ethnicities, and denominations. Positions: The following two positions are open in FPWA's Policy, Advocacy and Research Unit:
1) Senior Policy Analyst, Human Services and Older Adults – Oversees policy formulation, direction, and implementation of campaigns to promote the economic security of older adults and to support human services.
2) Senior Policy Analyst, Workforce Development – Oversees policy formulation, direction, and implementation of campaigns to support workforce development for low-income New Yorkers, including one focused on strengthening worker cooperatives and the other focused on increasing opportunities for day laborers.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits.
