Rework America Connected is hiring for a Field Director to lead its Phoenix ground team.  This new initiative, sponsored by the Markle Foundation in partnership with LinkedIn, the City of Phoenix, Arizona State University and others, connects jobseekers, training providers, and employers to create a transparent, real-time digital labor market.  In so doing, Rework America Connected aims to help jobseekers begin or continue on their career paths, by connecting them with sustainable careers in growing industries that are hiring based on skills. We are looking for a passionate, hard working, and dynamic leader to create and manage the program that recruits and empowers these jobseekers.

 

In this role the Field Director will be responsible for building and overseeing a team of Field Organizers to engage jobseekers, community partners, and employers through the organization of community events and direct outreach. This individual will also be responsible for the operational aspects of the organization.

 

Responsibilities

·       Manage team of Field Organizers.

·       Create and dictate the data-driven field organizing strategy to reach jobseekers and empower them to improve their career pathways through use of the RAC platform.

·       Drive traffic to the Rework America Connected online platform and to RAC events and resources.

·       Develop and oversee strategy to recruit, train and manage volunteers.

·       Build local relationships within targeted communities and with targeted audiences.

·       Represent the RAC effort at public events and settings.

·       Organize and manage execution of outreach events.

·       Maintain accountability and metrics of success through rigorous tracking and testing of engagement.

·       Manage operational aspects of field program, including hiring and budgets.

 

Qualifications

·       A leader with a demonstrated history of organizing, leading and motivating a team in the field.

·       A collaborative team player who can drive to solutions and rapidly effectuate change in a flexible and rapidly changing environment.

·       A clear and articulate communicator with strong listening skills, who is invested in connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds and activating them through this effort.

·       A charismatic people person with a sincere passion for connecting people with inspiring jobs and helping them improve their career pathways.  

·       Someone who is eager and able to represent the overall effort and partner organizations in public settings to engage all levels of participation with the program.

·       Ability to organize the logistics of events and implement them effectively.

·       Ability to manage the collection of data in a regular and organized fashion.

·       Knowledge of the Phoenix Metro and/or greater Arizona area that can help guide the larger team.

·       Spanish language proficiency a significant plus.
