Job Description


Pramila Jayapal for Congress [WA-7] is hiring a Field Director. Part of the senior staff team, the Field Director will take the lead on all field strategy for the campaign, including management of voter contact, volunteer recruitment, grassroots engagement, and GOTV.


The campaign is seeking candidates who are committed to fighting for working men and women, for public education, social security, women's healthcare, and criminal justice reform. Candidates should be committed to Pramila's vision: "We need movement builders who understand that our role as elected officials is not only to pass good policy or stop bad policy, but to be the bridge between government and the people, to remind people that we represent them, and to help inspire hope, trust, and a new generation of activism." 


Job Responsibilities

Create and implement a comprehensive, data-driven field plan

Recruit, train and manage a paid and volunteer field team to execute the field plan

Manage a voter database, including selecting targets and tracking IDs and volunteers

Manage a metrics-driven field operation and report progress to goals in a timely manner

Manage the field program's budget and logistics in collaboration with Campaign Manager

On occasion, coordinate field organizing with fundraising operations and press events


Qualifications

Have a minimum of two cycles of field experience, including one cycle of staff management

Experience with and ability to train VAN.

Ability to design, maintain and improve a goal-oriented accountability structure

Demonstrated ability to work well with other team members

Understanding of the Neighborhood Team organizing model

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced campaign environment

A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

Ability to relocate to Seattle, Washington 

Have a "Si Se Puede" attitude and a commitment to changing the world
