Job Description:

CEPR has an opening for a Domestic Policy communications associate starting in March 2016. The associate will coordinate communications strategy with the domestic side co-director and the director of domestic policy to ensure that CEPR's domestic policy work is covered in major national, state, and local media outlets. This job involves regular communication with national media, including writing press releases, and correspondence with journalists and editors. It also involves regular contact with radio and TV producers in order to promote the inclusion of ideas developed by CEPR staff. The position will also help sustain and grow CEPR's presence on a variety of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Medium, and post some content to CEPR's website. This full-time position reports to CEPR's co-director for domestic policy.


Qualifications:

Excellent writing and communications skills are essential. Ability to understand arguments and discussions based on quantitative information is absolutely necessary. Experience with media work and/or social media analytics is highly recommended, but not necessary. The Domestic Policy communications associate will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
