Help elect the next mayor of Baltimore.
A Baltimore citywide candidate is looking for an Engagement Director (Field Director) for an aggressive volunteer field operation to help elect the next Mayor of Baltimore.
This is a highly competitive municipal election.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Highly motivated to achieve winning results
- Experience with urban races is strongly preferred
- Strong management, coaching and training experience
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting systems
- Ability to establish a culture of respect and community
- Advanced proficiency with web-based voter file platforms such as VAN
- A demonstrated ability to present data-driven recommendations to a wide
- range of stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner
- A record of building strong working relationships
- Able to demonstrate the ability to communicate information with multiple
- partners and stakeholders with varying levels of experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be proficient with Google docs/spreadsheets/forms
Responsibilities:
Field Strategy & Data Management
- Work with Campaign Manager and other staff to ensure integration of field into larger strategy;
- Manage voter database, including selecting targets, tracking IDs and volunteer contact information;
- Analyze and produce daily quantitative reports reflecting progress
Manage Voter Contact Programs
- Set, meet, and exceed benchmarks for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, grassroots engagement, and Get Out The Vote (GOTV)
- Build and manage relationships with allied organizations as they pertain to field activities
- Establish a strong professional culture within field organization focused on accountability, use of best practices, and sense of purpose.
Volunteer Coordination and Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and develop local volunteer leaders
