A Labor Organizer at Wisconsin Jobs Now is responsible for:
Engaging, mobilizing and organizing workers to build the movement for living wages and worker justice aligned with the Fight for $15
Identifying, recruiting and developing workers; communicating a vision of change and a plan to win; organizing workers to overcome opposition and fight to win
Building an active organization of low-wage workers within and across employers, through which workers develop into leaders through education, training, and action

Qualifications
A passion for justice, a fighting sensibility, a willingness to learn, the ability to work hard with irregular hours, and the ability to work independently with guidance as well as with a team
Good communication skills, personal discipline and organization, good judgment, and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Demonstrated leadership ability through experience
Thorough attention to detail, resourcefulness and a talent for problem-solving, tenacity and determination in challenging situations, a high sense of urgency, and an ability to carry out a plan
Computer skills needed (word processing, spreadsheets/databases, internet/email)
Union or community organizing or other activist experience is preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus
Automobile and valid driver's license required
