Field Organizers will, in their assigned House Districts: o Implement the Caucus voter contact program, including voter identification, persuasion, and Get Out The Vote efforts. o Offer support to endorsed candidates and their campaigns. o Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and interns. o Perform other duties as assigned by the Field Director. · Ideal candidates will have: o Dedication to DFL values and principles. o Experience with field or community organizing (such as voter registration or get-out-the-vote drives). o Highly tuned communication skills and proficient computing skills, including VAN and Microsoft Office tools o Ability to maintain nontraditional working hours. o An insured vehicle for travel in an assigned geographic region. Compensation is competitive plus benefits and certain expense reimbursements will be provided. The DFL House Caucus is currently seeking applicants for the position of Field Organizer for the 2016 election cycle. Field Organizers will work as the on-the-ground Caucus staff in their assigned House districts to aid state legislative campaigns in their efforts to make direct contact with voters. Field Organizers report directly to the Field Director and will be employed full-time through November 2016. |
