REGIONAL FIELD DIRECTOR
Maine Senate Democratic Campaign Committee
The Maine Senate Democratic Campaign Committee (SDCC) is a political organization dedicated to building a majority in the Maine Senate. We are seeking dedicated, hard-working Regional Field Directors to help us build us build an aggressive field program to support our senate candidates throughout the state of Maine.
Our Regional Field Directors will provide an essential on-the-ground presence for the SDCC and will serve as the face of the Senate Democrats in communities throughout the state of Maine.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Working directly with multiple State Senate candidates
Recruiting and training volunteers in support of candidate campaigns
Recruiting is directed primarily towards door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and other means of direct voter contact that help the candidate's campaign meet their goals
Building and expanding an organizational effort behind candidates that is living, breathing, and fully operational. Regional Field Directors should cultivate volunteer team leaders, and should empower volunteers throughout the district to be contributing members to the cause of the campaign
Implementing a field plan that is specific to the districts you are working in and that are designed to give the candidates and strategic path to victory in their given race
Regional Field Directors report directly to the statewide Field Director
Job Requirements
An organizing mindset and someone who is capable of being a "self-starter"
Ability to multi-task, and prioritize work based on timelines and priorities
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
Experience with excel, google documents, word, and other mediums
Experience with campaign field work in at least one campaign cycle and experience with VAN/Votebuilder
This position is full time and goes until the day after election day. Applicants must be comfortable with long and/or irregular hours and travel.
