The Alex Morse for Mayor Committee is looking for a Political/Finance Coordinator (contract) to manage our political and fundraising program for the year.
Responsibilities
● Developing and implementing a strategic finance plan that sets (and meets!) goals for the year
● Preparing for and managing call time program for candidate
● Maintaining donor database
● Performing extensive donor prospecting and research that expands network of supporters
● Designing and executing fundraising events ranging from house parties (small dollar) to high dollar
● Working with treasurer to track and report campaign finance contributions and expenditures
● Assisting with drafting fundraising emails and online communication
● Liaising with and facilitating partnerships with local electeds, constituency groups and issue organizations
Skills and Qualifications
● At least 1-2 cycles of campaign finance/fundraising experience is required
● Knowledge of NGP VAN software and other financial software is required
● Experience with event planning and management
● Strong time management, planning, organization and communication (verbal & written) skills
● Ideal candidates are flexible, responsive, collaborative, work well under pressure and are able to balance competing demands
