Email Writer
BuzzMaker is a Democratic political consulting firm specializing in eCampaign management, online advertising and international campaigns. Our clients include gubernatorial, U.S. Congressional, and legislative campaigns, international political parties and advocacy organizations. We are seeking a creative email writer with experience in digital-focused campaigns.
The email writer will be responsible for drafting email copy for various campaigns, assisting with coding and scheduling of emails, as well as preparing email campaign strategy plans and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Interest in political fundraising email;
- Demonstrated proficiency writing, editing and proofreading advocacy and fundraising emails;
- Knowledge of relevant research and trends regarding effective email construction and strategy;
- Email coding experience. You should know the quirks involved with coding an email and be able to explain them if asked;
- Familiarity with NGP VAN, NationBuilder, Salsa, Action Network, ExactTarget, and/or ActionKit;
- Knowledge of how to use, analyze, and communicate email performance statistics;
- Political Savvy: A qualified candidate will know what actions can be effective in the political arena and how to drive people to take those actions. You should also be knowledgeable about current events and demonstrate an interest in progressive politics;
- Campaign Lifestyle: You should be able to work flexible hours and work directly with clients in high stress situations;
- Independent attitude and willingness to telecommute. BuzzMaker is a virtual company.
