Field Assistant: For Our Future (DC)

For Our Future PAC seeks qualified applicants for the role of Field Assistant, a key member of

the national field department. The Field Assistant will plan and implement department's

administrative operations, systems, and projects to support a busy field leadership team. The

Field Assistant will ensure all field projects, meetings, and department priorities are organized,

tracked, and delivered, while seeing to it that departmental deadlines are met.

The Field Assistant will also carry-out special projects at the direction of the national field director

and deputy national field director to support in-state voter contact programs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manages field department calendar
  • Implements logistical needs, including, but not limited to, travel, car rentals, hotel accommodations and housing and alerts Director or Deputy Director of any potential or realized problems.
  • Tracks and maintains archive of daily and weekly reports on campaign activity in staffed states
  • Track department projects and programs, and ensures tasks are completed and deadlines are met by every member of the team
  • Make sure all day-to- day department operations run smoothly
  • Assists on logistics for the production of large and small trainings and other meetings in state or in DC to support field team
  • Assists with identification of best practices to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the full department's work
  • Helps with the administration of staff expenses and budgets, vendor accounts, events and trainings
  • Pitch in regularly on full-team projects such as hiring, drafting campaign materials, research, reporting, and other projects as needed
  • Recruit, hire and manage field interns for DC office
  • Schedule and wrangle for all departmental meetings
  • Ensuring that daily, weekly, and monthly goals are met and exceeded.

Qualifications:

  • Highly organized and extreme attention to detail
  • Willingness to work long hours, including evenings and some weekends
  • Steadfast commitment to tracking and ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Scrappy, can-do attitude towards tasks
  • Functions well under fast-paced and high-intensity conditions
  • Bilingual experience is a plus, but not required.
  •  Able to work independently or in teams
  • Familiarity or proficiency in Votebuilder/VAN a plus
  • Advanced familiarity of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to harnessing and building local power through coalition to win elections and progressive issues
  • Familiarity with field-based campaigns and grassroots organizing
