Regional Constituency Outreach Coordinator – Top Targeted Statewide Campaign
Top tier statewide campaign in Ohio is seeking a full-time Statewide Constituency Outreach Director for an aggressive outreach program in Ohio. The position will be based in Columbus, Ohio. The Statewide Constituency Outreach Director will be responsible for building strategic and tactical relationships with key organizations on the statewide level.
Ohio is a battleground state, with top target campaigns for Democrats nationally and statewide. Our goal will be to build relationships in targeted communities that will not only help Democrats win in Ohio in November, but continue to work with them past the election. Working on such a highly competitive campaign will allow individuals to prove and establish themselves for any number of races down the line.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Build and maintain strategic and tactical relationships and alliances with key organizations on the statewide level. This includes hosting a regular meeting or conference call with representatives of parent organizations and allies to discuss work plans and work products, to identify gaps in coverage of the state and also eliminate duplicate activities.
- Work with parent organizations to develop creative ways to utilize their membership lists or other online mechanisms to communicate with their members or to the broader community.
- Work with state communications team to ensure partners are aware and mobilized for earned media, paid media, field and organizing events.
- Work with regional coordinators to ensure that state partnerships are replicated in regional offices and that regional partners are working together to promote progressive issues and candidates.
- Compile a calendar of partner activities in the state and identify vehicles to leverage these opportunities.
- Identify innovative ways to reach potential validators to expand our base of support in the state and develop new progressive voices.
- Prepare regular reports for the state director, national team and executive committee on the progress of these partnerships.
