SUMMARY:
NextGen Climate is currently seeking a data-driven, creative, self-starting email producer/coder with an eye for detail and a track record of getting results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conceptualize and execute email programs in support of national and state level campaigns
- Update and manage email check-listing process for the organization and its vendors
- Draft, code, segment, and send emails to local-, state- and national-level constituents
- Provide and maintain templates, style guides, and procedures
- Manage segmentation and list creation to target and analyze specific audiences for onboarding, lifecycle, and action inventory for new supporters gained from large-scale email acquisition campaigns
- Establish a regime of testing, optimization, and experimentation to improve conversion and retention
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of email marketing best practices and trends
- Create detailed and actionable reporting for consumption at the operational and executive levels
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- A bachelor's degree
- 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing
- HTML/CSS proficiency
- Knowledge of and experience using Email Service Providers (ExactTarget, Responsys, Epsilon, Cheetah Mail, etc. Bonus points for experience with NGPVAN/EveryAction)
- Responsive email coding experience
- Knowledge of best practices for mobile and web email design
- Excellent organizational skills, and demonstrate a clear ability to adapt rapidly to evolving priorities and deadlines
- Strong work ethic and demonstrate consistent attention to detail
Bonus points for:
- Experience managing email lists over 50,000
- Experience with team and project management software (Asana, Confluence, etc.)
- Experience with Google Analytics and Excel and the ability to cut and manage segments from multiple data sources
- Political advocacy and/or campaign experience
- Customer Service skills (monitoring feedback loop and escalating issues)
