Job Description: Research Associate
The North Carolina Democratic Party is seeking a Research Associate for the election cycle. The Research Associate would report to the Research Director and work closely with the Communications team and House and Senate caucuses. This position will work on high-profile state legislative races that will help decide the balance of North Carolina General Assembly. It is an excellent growth opportunity for a progressive researcher looking for more responsibility. The position is based in Raleigh, N.C. with the possibility of occasional travel.
Qualifications and Skills
- One cycle of research/tracking experience preferred
-Skilled in working with a multitude of databases, like Lexis Nexis, and media monitoring software
· - Strong organizational skills
· - Ability to work independently and collaboratively
· - Ability to operate at a high-level in stressful environments
· - Ability to manage several tasks/projects concurrentl
- - Some experience in labor, political or community organizing and political campaigns preferred
- -Some technical savvy preferred
· -A passion for Democratic politics is a must
- Salary is commensurate with experience.
