Rock the Vote: seeks a Graphic Designer to join our team in either Washington, DC or Los Angeles, CA office to execute work for design. This is an onsite position open immediately.
The Graphic Designer will work strategically with our team to produce production-ready, attention-grabbing, graphics, gifs, memes, video shorts, clips, campaigns, and materials. We are seeking someone who loves design, communicates exceptionally, thinks strategically, is passionate about our mission and is a proactive, detail-oriented team player.
Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Creative and Digital Team, the Graphic Designer will develop and create smart, strategic concepts that tackle big issues; evergreen content; visuals to create and amplify natural and created election moments; and real-time assets to support field activations.
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Portfolio of engaging work
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro
- Ability to present concepts with supporting rationale
- Extreme organizational skills with attention to detail
- Flexible, poised-under-pressure attitude
- Ability to juggle multiple projects on tight deadlines and adjust when directions shift
Special consideration will be given to candidates that additionally demonstrate
- Fluency in Spanish
- Previous nonprofit or political experience
- Illustration and/or video-production experience
- An interest in politics, social justice, voting, or advocacy
