Finance Director Job Description
Summary: A Florida statewide Democratic campaign is seeking a full-time finance director. The individual should be hardworking, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently, with experience in campaign fundraising. Knowledge and experience of NGP and Votebuilder, and is desired. This position will report to the candidate and leadership team.
Responsibilities:
· Create and implement 2017/2018 Finance Plan to raise sufficient funds to support the campaign
· Manage fundraising call time with candidate and complete appropriate follow-up
· Schedule, plan and staff fundraising events
· Schedule and provided necessary follow-up for fundraising meetings
· Author fundraising briefings in advance of events and meetings
· Liaise with fundraising event hosts; track event progress; manage guest lists
· Ensure campaign is in compliance with Florida campaign finance law and oversee compliance protocols, including review of reports and database management in cooperation with our Treasurer
· Manage schedule of fundraising emails and draft fundraising messaging, i.e. mail, e-mails, invitations in cooperation with online consultant
· Manage schedule of direct mail solicitations, if part of the fundraising plan
· Recruit volunteers/interns as needed to support execution of finance plan
· Other tasks as agreed upon with candidate and leadership team
Salary: Commensurate with experience
