Description
National environmental campaign seeks to hire a veteran digital leader to guide an established team of digital staffers in their ongoing efforts to slow, stop or weaken attacks on climate action. This is a senior level role that will help shape the digital strategy and messaging for the larger environmental community.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop, pitch and implement a strategic online communications plan that advances the campaign's overarching goals
· Manage an in-house digital team, as well as external vendors and consultants, to get high quality results under tight deadlines
· Allocate and manage a sizeable departmental budget
· Oversee the development and adoption of online tools to optimize advocacy efforts across the environmental community
· Propose and manage paid media efforts on behalf of coalition members
· Help establish baseline messaging and branding for major moments and initiatives.
· Facilitate coordination and discussion amongst coalition members and our extended partners
· Establish a data-centric approach to quantifying and reporting the impact and success of digital efforts
Qualifications
· 5+ years of digital campaign experience in the progressive space
· Proven track record of guiding impactful online advocacy campaigns from conceptualization to execution
· Experience overseeing digital paid media efforts
· Background in strategic messaging
· Ability to write clearly and compellingly on a deadline
· Previous managerial experience
· Foundational knowledge of all aspects of digital
· Familiarity with environmental groups, issues and coalition work preferred
