Job Summary:
End Citizens United is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven and qualified individual to serve as National Finance Director. They are responsible for creating, leading, and directing all fundraising efforts for the organization. The National Finance Director will help establish and execute organization-wide fundraising priorities, processes, products and strategies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ø Create a multi-faceted short and long-term fundraising plan for End Citizens United that encourages development of new revenue streams while maintaining current streams;
Ø Manage bundling plan for endorsed candidates
Ø Coordinate with Chief Financial Officer to monitor compliance and appropriately solicit, track, and report campaign finance contributions and expenditures;
Ø Coordinate with CFO on producing and maintaining fundraising budget;
Ø Write and develop all fundraising materials and prospectuses;
Ø Oversee national fundraising operation, including travel, donor targeting, and events;
Ø Overseeing the direct mail, fulfillment, and Thank You programs
Ø Manage online, direct mail, and all fundraising consultants
Ø Develop donor maintenance and engagement plan for current and potential supporters
The National Finance Director must be a self-starter with multiple cycles of fundraising experience and has overseen multi-million dollar fundraising programs. They must have a strong interest in stopping big money in politics and helping elect campaign finance reform champions to Congress. The candidate must be willing to work long hours, (including weekends when necessary). The National Finance Director should possess excellent communication skills, good attention to detail, an entrepreneurial spirit, instinct for creative problem-solving and a sense of humor.
