Caucus Organizer – Cary Kennedy for Governor
Cary Kennedy for Governor's campaign is seeking passionate caucus organizers for a caucus organizing program across Colorado. Organizing staff will be responsible for implementing the field plan, building a volunteer base, and serving as the face of the campaign in their designated communities. Caucus organizers will report to the caucus director.
Cary Kennedy is a candidate in the Democratic Primary for governor. She has the support of a strong statewide network from her previous service as the Colorado State Treasurer and has the backing of EMILY's List. Our goal is to build a robust and long lasting field operation that is equipped to win the democratic primary and General Election. Individuals interested in gaining the experience necessary to establish themselves for any number of races down the line have the opportunity to contribute their skills to an exceptionally high performing team in such a highly competitive campaign.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Using phones, social media, and personal community outreach to identify and recruit volunteering supporters.
· Training and mobilizing activists, volunteers, and interns in a voter contact effort.
· Diligently recording results of volunteer and voter contact in VAN database.
· Conducting extensive coaching and leadership development with volunteers.
· Ensuring that daily, weekly, and monthly volunteer recruitment and voter contact goals are met and exceeded.
· Representing the campaign at community events and meetings when advised by the campaign.
Qualifications:
· Commitment to the mission and a grassroots approach to change.
· Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.
· Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
· Thrives in fast paced, metrics driven work environment and willingness to work long and irregular hours
· Must have reliable access to a vehicle, a valid driver's license, computer, and cell phone.
· Capacity to travel to trainings and events.
