A Maryland Democratic gubernatorial campaign is hiring a Digital Director to join the campaign team for the 2018 cycle.
Responsibilities Include:
- Create and regularly post original content to the campaign's social media accounts, both text and graphics.
- Use digital media to actively respond to breaking news with the candidate's message.
- Manage the campaign's website to update content and energize voters.
- Make data-driven decisions to create a larger online following.
- Compose emails from the candidate campaign, including fundraising emails.
- Develop a production schedule for long-term digital strategy.
- Pitch in where needed on the campaign, including attending events, travelling with the candidates, and assisting the communications shop.
Qualifications:
- Previous campaign digital experience is strongly preferred.
- Graphic design experience is preferred.
- Basic video production skills are preferred.
- Ties to Maryland strongly preferred.
This is a full-time position. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Health care is provided.
