Overview
Greenpeace fellowships offer a unique opportunity to learn in the world's top environmental campaigning organization and to jump straight into our campaigns, gaining professional experience and building lasting relationships along the way. Our fellowship program will set you up with the essential skills you need to further pursue your career in environmental/nonprofit advocacy and organizing. This fellowship is perfect for innovators, problem solvers, and great communicators. We know that you are the future of the Environmental Movement, and we can't wait for you to join us.
THE SUPPORTER MOBILIZATION FELLOWSHIP:
Greenpeace has built a national volunteer network to tackle the toughest problems facing our climate, oceans, forests, and communities. The Network works with our community of over 6000 volunteers to inspire them to take action on Greenpeace campaigns in their own communities. The Fellow will work primarily with our Supporter Mobilization Team, which works to combine digital and real world organizing in order to bring supporter engagement to the center of Greenpeace's campaigns. The team works to develop a large community of volunteers and potential volunteers who can engage with Greenpeace on a variety of levels, from sharing content to creating their own local Greenpeace groups. This team is dynamic and collaborative, so there are many opportunities to learn new skills and gain experience in various aspects of the work.
The Supporter Mobilization Fellow represents an entryway for all of our volunteers into Greenpeace. The fellow is responsible for ensuring that each new volunteer has the information, inspiration, and empowerment they need to get involved in Greenpeace campaigns in their own community. The fellow will work with Greenpeace Greenwire, our social media platform exclusively for Greenpeace volunteers, to cultivate an interconnected network of volunteers across the country -- in addition to other digital engagement tools from email to social media to peer to peer texting. The fellow will also have the opportunity to design and lead their own project through which they will have the opportunity to innovate, test, and learn new skills. The best candidate for this position loves working with people, is goal oriented, organized, a fast learner, and is inspired by the work Greenpeace is doing to fight for people and the planet.
