BerlinRosen, a leading strategic communications firm, is seeking an Account Executive for our New York Public Affairs team to help clients meet a wide range of campaign and communications goals in a changing media environment.
This position requires 2-3 years professional experience in strategic communications, media relations, journalism, or a related field such as campaigns or labor/community organizing. The successful candidate for this mid-level role is an avid consumer of news with a proven ability to conceptualize creative pitches, build relationships with reporters, and land stories, who is able to devise communications strategies and manage complex projects. Excellent writing skills are a must.
This position provides candidates with a unique opportunity to join a talented and growing team. Our New York Public Affairs team works on exciting, high-profile issues with a wide range of clients, including advocacy organizations, major cultural organizations and nonprofits.

Applicants should possess:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong news sense and knowledge of the media landscape
- Excellent organizational skills - ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with and interest in local, state, and national politics
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work with a team to meet group objectives
- Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years experience in a communications-related field
- Familiarity with social media
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- A sense of humor!
