BerlinRosen is a leading national public relations and strategic communications firm delivering high impact media, digital strategy and advertising to top organizations, companies and candidates. We are seeking an Operations Manager based out of our NYC office.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for key initiatives supporting the overall operations of the firm, ranging from talent and HR, IT and technology, finance and budget, logistics and general operations. office management.
The ideal candidate will have proven project management, problem solving and sound decision making skills, as well as strong leadership and communications skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing time-sensitive assignments.
As a firm actively scaling, the ideal candidate will also have an entrepreneurial attitude and excited about system and process innovation and to help drive change.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior management team on researching, planning, procurement and implementation of software solutions (media monitoring, expense management, time keeping)
- Hands on management of firm's IT vendor and on-site IT manager to support always-on needs of a fast moving communications firm
- Office space planning and management to support growth and evolving needs of practice areas and teams
- Plan on-site and off-site events, such as training, firm-wide meetings and holiday parties
- Client and vendor management, including researching, sourcing, drafting and managing service agreements
- Manage the operational budget, enterprise assets and resources
- Rethinking current processes and operating procedures to drive process improvement
- Coordinating and spearheading systems implementations for modernization
- Coordinating employee engagement efforts and culture initiatives
- Owning enterprise-level internal communication
- Ad-hoc assignments and special projects as assigned by COO
Position Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience (preferably in client service industry or in fast-paced campaign environment)
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Effective project management and decision-making skills
- Get things done/make things happen attitude
- Exceptional negotiations skills
- Proficient with MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with enterprise level SaaS is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a sense of humor!
