The Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) is hiring an Events Associate to oversee all of our in-person events. Events may include state level trainings, our National Candidate Training, our annual holiday party, fundraisers, educational and social events on the Hill, staff retreats, and other potential networking opportunities, as they may arise.


Responsibilities include:


Duties may include, but are not limited to the following. Estimated percentages of time will fluctuate depending on time of year and need:

  • Act as an internal coordinator across departments (Operations, Training, P Street, etc.) in the planning and execution of events. This includes everything from front-end vision setting to arranging staff housing and travel to creating day-of staffing plans;

  • Establish and oversee event budgets. This includes drafting the original budget proposal, managing the approved budget, and ensuring staff remain within spending limits;

  • Serve as liaison between the organization and outside vendors and/or contractors. Thoroughly vet contracts including the bidding process, generate invoices, and confirm timely payments;

  • Manage any and all internal and external materials for our events, including creating, maintaining, and updating printed materials, ordering supplies as necessary, and keeping track of our storage locker inventory;

  • Create and implement an events best practices resource guide across the organization. This includes photography, signage, staffing, menu selection, and any other detail to ensure our organization is represented professionally and branded appropriately;

  • Ensure that events are seamless, thoughtful, and that manager feedback is always integrated in real time;

  • Provide additional related logistical and organizational support to different departments as capacity allows;

  • Other duties as assigned.


Strong applicants will have:


  • Prior event planning experience including budget and contract management;

  • Proven creativity in executing events, including innovative, budget-friendly; approaches to space, decor, and food;

  • Ability to take user experience into account when planning events;

  • Good grasp of progressive politics and insatiable desire to change the world;

  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time;

  • Strategic approach to problem-solving and overcoming obstacles;

  • Strong work ethic, ability to work in virtual workplace, self-driven and motivated;

  • Excellent Internet search skills and written and verbal communication skills.


Salary and Hiring:


This is a full-time, salaried position, and includes healthcare and dental.


Our team is virtual, with staff around the country.
