Creative Political Agency Seeks Digital Media Planner | Washington, DC

The New Media Firm is seeking a detail-oriented individual, with 1 to 3 years' experience, to manage the digital media lifecycle for our progressive political clients.

This person will collaborate with the digital director to provide clients with strategic plans, budgets, and seamless message integration across all networks. This candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of tracking and managing online ad buys from start to finish. This person should have strong writing skills, a superior attention to detail and a desire to bring the latest digital trends to political advertising.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with an experienced team to help progressive political candidates, non-profits and unions make a difference. We work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities include:
All aspects of online advertising strategy, including (but not limited to):
  • Draft campaign plans that help clients reach their strategic goals
  • Develop, create and place online advertisements with precision
  • Directly manage online ads through Google, Facebook, Twitter, and a variety of third-party vendors
  • Track performance of all online advertisements; provide performance analysis recommendations for optimization and summary reports of performance
  • Draft ad content and work with graphic designers to bring clients' messages to life
  • Manage budgets
  • Manage vendor relationships to best optimize campaigns

Skills and Qualifications:  An interest in developing new knowledge and skills with regard to trends and technology in the digital space  Excellent writing, verbal, and analytical skills  Attention to detail
  • Experience with social media or advertising content creation. Ability to craft compelling and concise messages and work with graphic designers to implement your vision for the ads
  •  Ability to gather and analyze ad data, assess performance and make adjustments to optimize ads, and report back to the client on performance in a clear and user-friendly manner  Experience working on political, advocacy, or union campaigns—and a basic knowledge of the strategies, tactics, goals and timelines of running issue or candidate campaigns

Familiarity with the following is helpful, but not necessary:  Experience running social media for a campaign, union or non-profit organization
  • Experience using either Google AdWords and Facebook Power Editor
  • Adobe Design Suite
