[jobsthatareLEFT by GAIN] Organizer for Replace NAFTA campaign (Temporary)

Public Citizen's Global Trade Watch is hiring a temporary organizer for our Replace NAFTA campaign. Pay will be $22.93/hour. We have a great organizer who had to take a temporary leave, and are looking for somebody to fill in. This position is based in DC.

I'm the National Field Director at Global Trade Watch, and glad to answer any questions.

More on the campaign:
The Replace NAFTA campaign is organizing to replace NAFTA with a deal that puts people before multinational corporations. With over 60,000 members, we first collected over 50,000 comments for the United States Trade Representative (USTR) in June. The USTR's on-line comment form crashed as an unprecedented number of people submitted their views. Then in August, when the USTR declared that negotiating text would be "classified," more than 3,000 people emailed their member of Congress, in a period of just 2 days, urging them to eliminate special corporate protections from a NAFTA replacement deal. Since then, more than 400,000 people have signed petitions demanding the same. And we have 700 people in 48 states doing boots-on-the-ground organizing. NAFTA renegotiation is moving ahead rapidly — but the outcome could still go in multiple directions. Thanks to our organizing, the USTR has proposed a rollback of NAFTA's special corporate rights.  But corporate lobbyists are fighting to preserve the special powers in NAFTA that make it easier for CEOs and companies to outsource jobs.
