The field organizer would be living in the Eagle County area, frequently traveling to several rural counties, and will be responsible for performing direct voter contact, and recruiting, training and retaining volunteers. The field organizer will interact closely with the managers of both campaigns, and Candidates to help build a grassroots community of volunteers and supporters. Ideal applicants for the position will be organized, enthusiastic, willing to travel, and have the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities include:
● Performing direct voter contact in-person and on the phone;
● Organizing volunteer networks and recruiting and training volunteers;
● Developing volunteer leaders to help carry out phone banks, canvasses, and other events designed to contact voters and engage volunteers;
● Preparing canvass and phonebank materials;
● Data entry/management;
● Representing the campaign at community events;
● Working with the candidate and campaign manager to meeting deadlines and achieve field goals;
● Any other campaign related tasks, as needed.
Qualifications:
● Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds;
● Willingness to move to Eagle County, Colorado and frequently travel to several rural counties;
● Ability be able to work independently and in team settings;
● Ability to work evenings, weekends, and long hours;
● Adaptability to a fast paced/ever-changing schedule;
● Passion for working towards a progressive future;
● Experience with VAN/Votebuilder preferred but not necessary;
● Must have a driver's license and access to a car;
● Previous campaign experience or community organizing experience preferred but not necessary.

Compensation is $2,000 a month salary plus travel stipend, supporter housing will be provided if relocating to the district is necessary.
