CAMPAIGN FOR IOWA REGIONAL FIELD DIRECTOR
Job Description: The Iowa Democratic Party is seeking experienced and motivated Regional Field Directors to join the Campaign for Iowa. Regional Field Directors will be responsible for training and managing a team of Field Organizers to recruit and lead robust volunteer organizations to execute voter mobilization efforts within their region. Regional Field Directors will also oversee the coaching of Field Organizers to develop and grow volunteer teams. Regional Field Directors will gain invaluable political and organizing experience in this important state, that has one of the most competitive Governor's races in the country, toss-up congressional races, and exciting statewide and legislative pick-up opportunities.
Duties Include:
● Training and coaching Field Organizers on the recruitment and management of volunteer teams.
● Executing a metrics-driven voter turnout program in the geographic area assigned.
● Conducting outreach to diverse constituency, political, and issue groups.
● Developing regional organizing plans that fit the localized needs and qualities of the geographic area assigned.
● Developing relationships with county party officers, local activists, and political leaders.
● Planning and managing earned media and principal events.
Requirements:
● At least two cycles of campaign experience are strongly preferred.
● Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
● Strong management and communication skills.
● Disciplined in setting and achieving measurable goals, managing teams, and coordinating between multiple stakeholders.
● Knowledge of Votebuilder.
● Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
● Capacity and desire to work in a fast-paced setting, with long hours.
● Laptop with ability to connect to Wi-Fi.
Regional Field Directors will work under the direction of a Deputy Field Director.
