Progressive grassroots consulting firm is seeking statewide field directors to manage programs for the 2018 cycle. State Field Directors will oversee field programs from start to finish, targeting multiple districts and opening and managing multiple offices throughout the state. State Directors will oversee the opening of paid canvass offices, hiring of canvass directors and other staff, manage canvass directors throughout the state, and ensure all program goals are met while ensuring the absolute highest quality of voter contact.
Responsibilities
Hire, train, and manage canvass directors in multiple offices and multiple cities throughout the state.
Oversee the acquisition and opening of multiple canvass offices
Work with Canvass Directors to ensure goals for canvasser recruitment, training, and management are met on time while ensuring quality and morale remain high throughout the state.
Oversee quality control efforts and manage reporting and from multiple offices working in multiple districts.
Work with canvass directors managing offices to ensure administrative and HR tasks are handled efficiently and appropriately.
Qualifications
3 to 5 years of experience managing field staff and overseeing large field programs.
Experience working with paid canvass and knowledge of paid canvass strategies and procedures.
Ability to work independently and take ownership over a large program with multiple offices and progressive weekly goals.
Work with canvass directors managing offices to ensure administrative and HR tasks are handled efficiently and appropriately.
Knowledge and experience with team building tactics and the ability to build and maintain high morale among field staff.
Expertise in VAN and Google Docs, proficiency with Excel.
Ability to travel extensively throughout the state and access to a reliable vehicle.
This position requires extensive travel throughout the state. We provide travel reimbursements and healthcare stipends. Salary is commensurate with experience and competitive among jobs of this type.
