The Position: We are looking for a highly skilled fundraising professional who can help us carry out our important mission of eliminating bias, bigotry and racism.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Create and implement an overall development plan for the organization which identifies multiple funding sources, including foundation grants, corporate sponsorships, board giving, planned giving, and other revenue streams

·         Oversee the planning and execution of special fundraising events as specified in the fund development plan (Annual Humanitarian Award Dinner and the Walk, Rock & Run)

·         Develop a major gifts and planned giving program under the leadership of the President & CEO

·         Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors and board members

·         Develop and manage timelines for all fundraising activities

·         Develop policies and procedures for the development department

·         Prepare and submit grant applications and all required reports

·         Identify and develop corporate, community and individual prospects for the organization's fundraising priorities

·         Oversee the administration of the DonorPerfect database and donor mailing list

·         Coordinate in-kind donations and make decisions regarding the issuing of receipts

 

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have any direct reports.

 

Qualifications:

 

·         5+ years of experience in nonprofit development

·         BA (required)

·         Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills

·         Excellent verbal and written skills

·         Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and DonorPerfect

·         A passion for the mission of The Diversity Center
