Engagement Director
Location: Washington, DC | Status: Full Time | Healthcare Reimbursement | Generous Paid Time Off
Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000/year
About the position:
Guns Down America is the new left flank of the gun violence prevention movement focused on financially draining the NRA and the gun industry and organizing Americans around bold solutions that will help build a future with fewer guns.
We're now searching for a full-time Engagement Director to join our headquarters in Washington, DC. The Director will help develop, drive, and implement a range of digital and online functions, including email, database management, CRM, basic website management and maintenance, and the maintenance and growth of social channels.
As the engagement director, you'll:
● Manage Guns Down America's email program: edit and draft fundraising and informational emails; track metrics and responses; and use EveryAction to send and report on emails.
● Develop email plans and calendars.
● Oversee email lists and supporter databases.
● Use EveryAction to create and manage sign-up and advocacy forms.
● Oversee Guns Down America's ActBlue fundraising.
● Maintain and update Gun Down America's website and campaign-specific microsites.
● Coordinate with vendors and outside consultants to ensure effective digital and on-the-ground content.
● Social media planning and management
● Strategize ways to increases list digital engagement and integrate email into campaigns and other
organizational activities.
● Help plan campaigns and actions in coordination with the Guns Down America team and consultants.
● Administrative tasks related to email and website management.
● Other duties as assigned.
About you:
● At least 4 years of related work experience in an office environment
● Knowledge of political/non-profit CRM platforms (BSD, NationBuilder, EveryAction, etc.)
● Experience with WordPress
● Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
● Strong written communications skills & attention to detail
● Experience with Google Apps and Microsoft Office
