We are excited to offer a new position at our firm, KG Consulting (not a traditional consulting position). It is a terrific opportunity to manage the GiveGreen program and help facilitate the organizational partners (League of Conservation Voters, Next Gen America, and NRDC Action Fund) who lead this effort.  GiveGreen offers donors a strategic way to collectively support and help elect candidates who are committed to tackling climate change. We are looking for a mission driven candidate with experience in project management, campaigns or candidate fundraising, website management, the ability to multi-task and with a great attitude. It is a fun group to work with while also doing important work to address climate change. 

 

PROJECT MANAGER -- GIVEGREEN PROGRAM

BACKGROUND

KG Consulting is a full-service development consulting firm dedicated to providing strategic fundraising guidance to progressive institutions. The firm's primary focus areas include development strategy, coaching, prospecting, project management/events, and marketing for successful fundraising. The firm supports the GiveGreen program. This position will work on GiveGreen with coalition partners to develop strategic goals and will be responsible for overseeing the day to day management of the program. GiveGreen offers donors a powerful and strategic platform to work together as a community to support environmental candidates and accelerate action on climate change.

The program has raised over $40 million since its inception, including $23 million raised in the 2018 election cycle. It is a project of LCV Victory Fund and NextGen America and supported by the NRDC Action Fund PAC, three of the environmental movement's largest and most influential organizations.


POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

The Project Manager is a full-time, permanent position at KG Consulting and will report to the principal of KG Consulting. He/she will  oversee the day to day management of the GiveGreen program, including organizing the coalition partners around key decision making, ensuring that the website is functional at all times, coordinating meetings and setting agendas, information management, and supporting the marketing and outreach efforts of the partner organizations.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Program Management

        Support and facilitate the decision making of the coalition

        Working closely with coalition teams, develop program cycle goals and objectives and ensure team meets strategic goals

        Develop systems for seamless communication and decision making

        Organize and lead weekly meetings that update the team and facilitate the required decision making. Ensure meetings are run efficiently with clear outcomes and next steps. Provide agenda, meeting notes, and next steps.

        Work closely with partner organizations and consultants to ensure smooth interface with the marketing, political, candidate fundraising and other GiveGreen activities

        Ensure all vendors and consultants meet deliverables. Negotiate contracts and work with partners to ensure timely payments.

        Manage program expense budget.

 

Communications/Outreach support

        Ensure coordinated communications calendar across organizational partners

        Create and facilitate the development of communications to donors and broader audience on GG impact and strategy

        Identify relevant social media outlets to support and expand our digital presence

        Optimize print, social media and blog campaigns to generate interaction, brand exposure, and fundraising opportunities

 

Website

        Ensure that the GiveGreen website is functional and content is updated in a timely fashion

        Serve as primary point of contact with all website vendors.

        Serve as primary point of contact for all troubleshooting and urgent maintenance requests and provide regular feedback to coalition teams on status of requests.

        Working closely with coalition teams, develop a cycle plan for key content areas.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES DESIRED

 

        5+ years' experience in project management

        Excellent project and deadline management skills;

        Ability to delegate, prioritize, and adapt in a dynamic work environment

        Experience on campaigns and/or candidate fundraising and familiarity with campaign finance and FEC compliance

        Experience in event production: off-sites, conferences, stakeholder meetings

        Experience in coalition management a plus

        Some experience with web management a plus

        Highly motivated, quick-learner, self-starter

        Exceptional attention to detail and ability to see the big-picture

        Grace under pressure and a solutions-oriented attitude

        Sense of humor and diplomacy

 

Other

        Willingness to work "campaign hours" as needs arise

        Some travel required (domestic 15%>)
