Hard Knocks Strategies, LLC is seeking motivated and qualified individuals to fill the role of Communications Specialist.
The Communications Specialist will assist the senior staff within the Communications Department with content creation, media development, and other work as assigned.
- Work with the Communications Director and team to develop integral communications tactics
- Assist in new business pitches for Communications Department.
- Drafting dynamic content for communications client work.
- Help organize communications tactics including, but not limited to direct mail, digital content, video production, media materials, and talking points.
- Researching policy issues, election history, and other items as needed.
- Create and maintain relationships with advertising vendors for client opportunities.
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Performs other duties as assigned in support of promoting our client's work.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· Dynamic self-starter who can pick up tasks and understand them in a quick and efficient manner.
· Excellent writing skills and experience pitching ideas to large groups.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Associate degree in Communications or similar field; and/or two (2) years of experience with a track record of building and executing successful digital communications strategies.
· Expert knowledge in a second language a plus, but not required.
