The OneVoice Movement (OV) is a global initiative that supports grassroots activists in Israel, Palestine, and internationally who are working to build the human infrastructure needed to create the necessary conditions for a just and negotiated resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

We are seeking an all-star Regional Organizer who can support OneVoice's growing campus presence in the New York Tri-State region. The New York Tri-State Regional Organizer will be a key player on the OneVoice U.S. team in building our movement presence nationally. The ideal candidate is a natural leader, creative thinker, self-starter, team player, and dynamic individual who can meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and has exceptional organizational and program management skills, with an eye for detail and genuine interest in the mission of OneVoice Movement. Organizing experience, for an issue-based non-profit, is preferable.

The position is based in New York and is responsible for organizing on campuses in New York City, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The New York Tri-State Regional Organizer will work under the supervision of the OneVoice National Organizing Director while working closely with OneVoice's Regional staff in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and New England regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attract and recruit interested students to take part in OneVoice on Campus with the aim of fostering leadership in support of a strong movement on campus.
  • Design and oversee the development of student leaders through trainings providing appropriate tools to lead on their campuses.
  • Educate students at New York area colleges on the nuances of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and empower them to take action in the direction of a lasting resolution.
  • Coordinate and direct activities across a team of organizers, volunteers, and supporters from multiple OneVoice on Campus chapters and at times, coalition partners.
  • Create and execute daily, weekly, and monthly work plans based on assigned goals and objectives.
  • Complete all required reporting of data, member outreach, etc.
  • Conduct community outreach in New York city to introduce communities to OV's work and work with allied groups with similar values in order to build community ties and accelerate our impact.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in campaign organizing, community outreach, or grassroots activism (campus organizing background is a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
  • Ability to communicate messaging in a strong and a persuasive manner, including public speaking.
  • Leadership development and volunteer management skills and a passion for working with students.
  • Ability to execute campaign strategy with clear goals and benchmarks while delivering on qualitative and quantitative goals
  • Previous knowledge of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and dynamics on U.S. campuses.
  • Knowledge of and belief in OneVoice's mission and vision.
  • A bachelor's degree is required; preferably in the Social Sciences or a related field.
