About:
The Alyse Galvin for Alaska campaign seeks an experienced Finance Director to lead their finance team and fundraising operation. Alyse is running for Alaska's at large congressional seat against Don Young, building on her last campaign's success, name recognition, grassroots excitement, and more than $2 million in donations. She is running to fight for strong families, jobs with real wage growth, vibrant public education, and affordable, quality, comprehensive health care. As a Senior Staff member, the Finance Director will work directly with the campaign manager to build out a winning finance plan and team. They will also work as a team with the rest of the campaign, meeting regularly as a group to discuss strategy and provide updates. The Finance Director will be responsible for leading and managing the finance department, including all fundraising events and call time.
A successful candidate will be prepared to build a finance plan, design strategy, and oversee implementation with a growing team. Competitive salary based on experience. Specific Responsibilities Include:
Create and manage campaign finance plan
Lead the day to day fundraising operation for the campaign.
Oversee events.
Manage finance team and finance volunteers on campaign.
Work with donor community.
Manage candidate call time.
Oversee thank-you operation.
Manage digital fundraising program on social media and email campaigning.
Work with finance and digital consultants, as well as other identified national groups.
Manage and utilize donor contacts using NGP/VAN.
Other duties as needed.
Preferred Experience and Characteristics:
One previous cycle of political fundraising experience, campaign raising $1 million or more.
NGP experience.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and people at once.
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented mindset.
