With about 2 million members nation-wide, SEIU is one of the largest unions in North America. We are dedicated to improving wages and expanding healthcare for working Wisconsinites. Our team will help defeat Trump, elect a champion for labor to the White House in 2020, as well as win Democratic legislative seats.  This position will begin in the summer of 2019 and last through mid-November 2020. Applicants must have a passion for racial and economic justice, and be able to commit to the job through the election. They must also be registered to vote if eligible.


Regional Team Lead Job Description

SEIU Wisconsin Regional Team Leaders are responsible for leading and directing comprehensive voter contact, call and canvass programs. Regional Team Leaders will manage canvassers and Member Political Organizers (MPOs) to implement the state field plan.

Regional Team Leaders should be passionate about field organizing  exhibit strong leadership capabilities, and be determined to take back the White House and win legislative seats in Wisconsin.

This position reports directly to the Statewide Field Director. This program is an independent expenditure campaign that prohibits coordination and/or contact with individual Presidential candidates and their campaigns.    



Primary Responsibilities 


- Train canvassers and MPOs regarding the campaign goals, their assignments, work standards and job expectations
- Mentor and train canvassers and MPOs in order to meet weekly voter contact goals
- Plan and lead daily team meetings
- Conduct one-on-one debriefs with canvassers and MPOs
- Report daily and weekly progress to the State Director
- Produce call and walk lists with corresponding walk maps
- Responsible for tracking technology, reimbursements and other administrative duties

Experience Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of campaign experience or other relevant experience
- Direct voter contact experience (experience talking with and persuading voters)
- Management of volunteer armies / paid staff

Salary and Benefits
This is a salaried position, starting at $46,000.  SEIU Wisconsin will offer a competitive benefit program.
