Jaime Harrison is running for Senate in South Carolina to bring character and values back to the U.S. Senate. Jaime Harrison for Senate is hiring a research associate to join the team in Columbia, South Carolina. The research associate will work closely with the Deputy Research director to take on in-depth, long-term research projects utilizing primary source materials.
*Responsibilities*
- Produce original research memos
- Gather information and summarize key points from a variety of sources, including Nexis and major news outlets, government agencies, campaign finance reports, corporate filings, legal records and other sources
- Daily media monitoring
- Manage interns
*Minimum Qualifications*
- 1-2 years experience in political research, campaign experience preferred
- Understanding of politics and political campaigns
- Familiar with public records including Nexis and FEC
- A strong eye for detail and ability to synthesize primary source documents
- Creative thinking, ability to take direction, ask questions and quickly learn new tasks and databases
