The campaign is expanding its team in the midst of a competitive primary race and is seeking an experienced grassroots fundraiser.
Description of Role:
The Assistant Director or Director of Fundraising will be responsible for the Skylar for Congress campaign's grassroots fundraising strategy and implementation. As a campaign in one of the most anticipated races of the 2020 election cycle that does not take corporate PAC or special interest money, we're focused on building an unstoppable network of small dollar donations from across Bucks and Montgomery counties, as well as the entire country. Skylar is providing the bold vision PA-01 needs to excite voters - you need to be the one who knows how to turn that into small-dollar, recurring donations through targeted emails, mailers, phone calls, texts and/or canvassing efforts.
Position Location: Bucks County, PA near New Hope
Travel requirements: Up to 20%
Responsibilities:
Develop, execute, and manage multi-channel grassroots digital advocacy and fundraising campaigns
Write and edit email action alerts, SMS messages, social media content, online video scripts, copy for graphics, web promotions, and other content as needed
Work with other members of the team and/or outside consultants to draft campaign plans and creative briefs
Create strategy for identifying likely donors and create a pipeline for turning those relationships into direct support.
Coordinate planning and development of campaigns with other key staff, teams, and volunteers.
Ensure multi-channel campaigns are helping the team achieve advocacy, fundraising, revenue, and new audience acquisition and engagement goals
Work to ensure successful promotion and engagement of our campaigns on social media
Develop and incorporate testing strategies into campaigns
Assist in developing and producing reports summarizing the results of multi-channel campaigns and use data and analytics to make strategic and tactical campaign decisions
Represent Skylar for Congress at offline advocacy events (committee meetings, town halls, rallies, etc.), including organizing in-person meetups with the Field Director to include events with members and activists, staffing tables, and managing other on-the-ground grassroots activities as needed
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-3 years' experience in fundraising at a grassroots level
Desired Qualifications
• Master's Degree
• 3-5 years' experience implementing political fundraising at a grassroots level
