A national progressive organization is looking for a Communications Writer / Press Secretary to lead daily writing and press outreach.
This is a part-time job (15-20 hours per week) that may be performed remotely, although availability in or near Washington D.C. is preferred.
Apply for this position if:
- You love managing your own time and love the feeling of meeting a tight deadline or nailing a pitch to a reporter.
- You excel at sharp political writing in press releases and op-eds
- You're on top of the news, always know what's happening on the Hill, and can identify opportunities to make noise in the news cycle
- You already have at least 2-3 years of political communications experience on campaigns, advocacy groups, or the Hill
